With all precincts reporting, the Cochise County Elections Department has issued unofficial primary elections results. Here are the results for the county’s supervisory and county attorney races.
For Supervisory District 1, Tom Crosby (incumbent) has beat his Republican primary challenger, Clint Briseno— 3,536 to 3,150 votes.
Theresa Walsh will be Crosby’s Democratic Party challenger in November.
For Supervisory District 2, held by outgoing Supervisor Ann English (a Democrat), Joni Giacomino won the Democratic Party’s primary over Mitch Lindemann— 1,773 to 1,081 votes.
Kathleen Gomez will be Giacomino’s Republican Party opponent in the November election.
Supervisory District 3, held by outgoing Supervisor Peggy Judd (a Republican), was vyed for by several Republican candidates.
Former Arizona lawmaker Frank Atenori came out at the top of the heap, with 1,620 votes.
Nancy Olmstead had 1,118 votes. Katie Miller, 931. Sonia Gasho, 796.
Democrat Joy Banks will run against Antenori in November.
The race for County Attorney, held by outgoing incumbent Bryan McIntyre (Republican), has been winnowed down to Lori Zucco (2,461 to her Republican challenger Josh Jones’ 822 votes) and Democrat Scott Eckstein.
